WEATHER
CONDITIONS
Weather conditions: |
| In the northern and eastern parts of the Lena River delta snow completely disappeared in usual dates - the middle of June, ice-break on river channels occurred on 22 June. Unusually high flood in the second decade of June led to submerging of extensive areas of island terraces and mudding of the higher floodplain. Air temperature in spring did not differ from perennial average, in summer was a bit lower than average. Extremal events were not recorded.

BIOTIC
CONDITIONS
| Rodents abundance evaluation: |
low
Breeding conditions:
| Arctic Foxes did not breed. Rodent-specialized avian predators were rare and did not breed. Among waders breeding was proved only for Little Stint, Temmink's Stint, and Red Phalarope; other species were not actively displaying, Curlew and Pectoral Sandpipers were probably not breeding at all. Grey Plovers were rare. Nest success was low - not a single brood was met in the end of July.
Rodent dynamics:
| Lemmings practically did not breed in spring (juveniles and undersnow nests not recorded), Siberian Lemming had very low density (single records during snowmelt).
